White Christmas in Dallas

My mom used to say, "If you don't like the weather in Texas... wait a minute."

This is so true, and I have proof. (Maybe not a minute, like 12 hours, but you get the point)

Yesterday:
73 degrees, nice and sunny (and I was loving it)
Today:
31 degrees, feels like 20.
Pierce's Dad said the last time Dallas had a 'White Christmas' was back in the '20s.

My parent's should really think about moving back to Puerto Rico. Really.

Jack Bauer Interrogates Santa

My brother Scott sent me this email. Most of my family is into '24' --- I haven't watched since the first couple of seasons, but this is really funny.

I watched it last night while I changed my photography blog. It's better now. Go see!

Enjoy!

Just so you know....

By the Husband.

Stacy's last post had lots of baby related items.

In case you were wondering:

No baby soon.

Sorry.

Sewing Projects

I have a couple of projects to work on while I am home this break. My mom and I (plus Pierce) went to Jo-Ann's and bought lots and lots of cute fabric for my upcoming sewing projects.

1. Christmas stockings.
That's right, we still don't have any. And yes, I put up my stocking mantle hangers without any stockings on them. My mom made all of our stockings growing up, so I've always wanted to make my own.

2. Car seat tent!
I've been dying to make some cute car seat tents, we bought some b-e-a-utiful fabrics. I can't wait!
3. And lastly, my own hooter hider.
I got my free hooter hider, from here- remember? - and there was a reason it was free....

Anyway, I'm making my own. Cuter. :)
And maybe I'll thrown in a blanket, or fabric covered button earrings if I have time.
I'll show you pictures once I'm done. Until then...

Go Cowboys!

December in Orem/Pierce having the time of his life

Pierce loves the snow.

I do not. (Alright, it's ok...)(I just don't like the cold)(I'm a true Texan)

Pierce loves the kids in the cul-de-sac, the kids love him.

Pierce + snow + kids = Play time!

Here, they are building a fort. This started around noon today.... it's 5:30 p.m. They've been out there all day. (Probably because of Pierce. But I'm sure my cousins love it, he's wearing out their kids so they'll be nice and tired soon) While I babysat Miss Darcy.
Here are Dallin and Shelby building with Pierce. The kids roll up the snow in huge snowballs, more like frosty-the-snowman balls and then throw them in the wheel barrel to take over to the fort.
Flower.
I love the drop of water that's about to fall.
Dallin, Pierce, Canyon. (Frosty snowball, like I said)
Dallin
Canyon
Pierce
I told them to stand on the snowballs and Pierce broke the first one, so Canyon did it.
Getting ready to run and jump so I could get an action shot.
ACTION SHOT!
Darcy and I were chillin' inside watching the Proposal. She sat through a lot of it actually. I was so proud! (And relieved)

**Pierce was supposed to go to work at 4:30 p.m. and at about 3:30 p.m. he told me he had gotten the night off so we could go see the lights at Temple Square in SLC and go to the melting pot! (He planned this on Wednesday and I had no idea) He's so good at setting up dates and surprising me, I love him! So, hopefully I'll have lots of good pictures of the Christmas lights later!

P.Diddy

Today, I came home from the gym and started cleaning our place and as I was about to throw out Pierce's cup from work (I find these 24/7)...
I actually looked at it and read the side.

P.Diddy

I love him.

Rob & Big - Car Wash Karaoke - "Do you know?"

I just couldn't help it.

Pierce and I love this show.

This is probably my favorite clip.

"Do You Know?" -Enrique Iglesias
or if you prefer Spanish
"Dimelo" :)

Blizzard = I'm staying home

I don't think the weather channel knows how to measure wind....

It does NOT feel or look like 4 mph.

But 22 degrees means I'm not going outside anytime soon.

In other news:

Haha, I've done that before!

Abbie's Baby Blessing

Jamie and Emily blessed their little baby Abbie today.

I was able to take some pictures. She was a trooper.

They are on my photography blog.
*Emily's mom made Abbie's blessing dress. It was beautiful!
I told her I'd have to pay her to make one for
my future little girls. (yes, plural)

I will forever cherish this

I love this picture.

Yes, that is me on the right with my thighs sticking together down to my knees. Not much has changed. :)

And yes, I was jealous of Kari's hot two-piece.

I will forever love this picture. (I was cute back then)

What Matters Most
